Dejvice Trio founded in 2021.

The members of the Dejvice Trio are active professional musicians with long-standing experience performing in prestigious national orchestras. Their concert activity has taken them to many renowned European and international concert halls.

Above all, however, they are close friends whose shared passion is to interpret high-quality music "with drive" - full of energy, enthusiasm, and temperament. Their unusual instrumental combination further enhances this artistic intention.

Popular melodies by Astor Piazzolla, Manuel de Falla, and Enrique Granados shine with playfulness, lightness, and vibrant colors in this programme. Spoken commentary accompanies the concert, introducing the audience to the works and their composers.

In the Embrace of Tango

This concert leads audiences from the cinematic charm of tango (Por una Cabeza), through deep melancholy (Adiós Nonino, Oblivion), to the fire and virtuosity of Piazzolla's nuevo tango. A dynamic work by Peter Ludwig provides a modern contrast, and in the colorful blend of flute, viola, and piano the tango transforms into both an intimate dialogue and a captivating dance.

Europe in Three Voices

From the Classical elegance of Rösler, through the lyricism of Bloch and the French esprit of Ibert, to the vibrant energy of Martinů — four composers offering four perspectives on a shared European musical language. A concert in which the continent resounds in three voices.

The programme connects the Baroque dramatic flair of Princess Wilhelmine with the courage and energy of Ethel Smyth, the gentle lyricism of Lili Boulanger, and the deep intimacy of Clara Schumann.
